Why Leaded Glass is So Expensive?

There are several things that make leaded glass “expensive”

First, stained glass needs experienced craftsman. And it takes years to be a skilled glass craftsman so that he can work on the medium of glass. Such as JINGCT Glass craftsmen are holding 11 years experiences. And all of the glass characteristics needs craftsmen to familiar with.

 

Secondly, all the glasses have varies colors and texture. Most glasses need fire up to 300 degree and the colors of glass are base on the metals such as gold, copper and iron etc. The price can cost up to $25-$45 per square foot or more. Because of the way of the glass breaks and cuts, a huge piece of glass will waste in order to cut a small piece.

  

Third, before making a whole image of glass, the craftsman need made out every piece of the glass component. And the shapes are different from piece to piece. It takes time to cut out every pieces and lead them together.

As we can see, every piece of leaded glass is the masterpiece and takes time up to 12 hours to finished one piece

What is CCC standard ?

The China Compulsory Certificate mark, commonly known as a CCC Mark, is a compulsory safety mark for many products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market. It insures the applicable products in a high safety standard.

The CCC certificate and the Permission of Printing, which allows the manufacturer to mark the CCC-certified product with the CCC mark, must be renewed annually in order to keep the validity of the certificate. The renewal can only be done through a follow-up certification. Part of the follow-up certification is a one-day factory audit.
